Ben Rau's extensive experience on the dancefloor has shaped his deep understanding of what it needs. With releases on labels like Knee Deep in Sound, his own INKAL imprint, and BBE Music, and gigs at iconic venues from Amnesia to Glastonbury, his dancefloor journey spans decades. Born in Berlin and raised in North Germany, Ben's early love for music began with artists like Michael Jackson and Isaac Hayes, before discovering hip hop in his teens.

In the mid-90s, Ben was at the heart of Berlin's vibrant house, techno, and trance scenes following the fall of the Berlin Wall. He moved to the UK to study in Bournemouth, where he honed his DJ skills and started organizing parties. By the mid-2000s, Ben relocated to London, winning a mix competition judged by Nic Fancuilli and making a name for himself. Teaming up with Enzo Siragusa, Ben became a resident at Fuse, which significantly boosted his career. He later focused on production, setting up his studio in Berlin and releasing music through his labels, INKAL and Meta.

In 2016, Ben launched INKAL, followed by Meta, gaining recognition from top DJs and achieving chart success. In 2020, he released "The Player" on Hot Since 82’s label, reaching number two on Beatport's chart. His 2022 debut album for Knee Deep in Sound, created during the pandemic, showcased his expanded sound and musicality. Ben's music resonates deeply with audiences, both in clubs and at home, reflecting his passion and emotional connection to his craft.
